St. Paul’s participates in Church World Service in many ways. Our major involvement is with the blankets+ program and compiling baby care kits and hygiene kits. Along with 8,000 other groups and congregations, we collect different kinds of kits, which go to over 80 different countries in the world in response to disasters.

The Week of Compasssion is the disaster relief and development arm of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Through Week of Compassion, churches can respond quickly and effectively to people in need, near or far. An offering is taken each year, which goes from “our doorsteps to the ends of the earth.” The Week of Compassion offers help to the victims of natural disaters all over the world, and helps to rebuild communities and stand against hunger, poverty, disease and illiteracy.
