A History of Christianity in

The Apostolic Age

By ARTHUR CUSHMAN McGIFFERT, Ph.D., D.D.
Washburn Professor of Church History in the Union Theological Seminary, New York

The content of these web pages is the transcription of the book "The Apostolic Age" by McGiffert.

The book is a scholarly study of the life and times of the people involved with the beginning of Christianity.

The book's chapter and subsections have been further divided into individual lessons for the study of the Ecclesia Class at St. Paul's Christian Church.

Except in the first few lessons were some paraphasing occurs, the pages are transcribed exactly as is. Footnotes appear in square brackets [like this]. The abbreviation "cf." mean "cross reference" and "sq." means "and subsequent verses". Spelling and reference errors can and do exist (especially in the chapter references of verses). Please send corrections to BillAlbert@stpauls.net.

This transcription is intended for the personal use of the members of St. Paul's Christian Church in bible study and is used by permission of the publisher.
