Spring Retreat - Camp Caroline

Dr. Harry J. Ghee Dr. Harry J. Ghee, Academic Dean of Carolina Bible College, Fayetteville, NC.
Keynote Speaker

Dr. Ghee was born in Martin County, in the small rural community of Dardens. He is the elder of five children born to the late Deacon James and Mother Virginia Ghee. He was a choir boy in the Promise Land Disciples of Christ Church, a junior steward, and Sunday School teacher at an early age. He completed a Bachelor’s degree from Elizabeth City State University, a Masters Degree from Virginia State University and the Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia. After completing over 34 years in education, Dr. Ghee retired from Fayetteville State University and the State of North Carolina in 2004. He has held various administrative positions to include Vice Chancellor in two divisions of higher education retiring as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and International Studies. Dr. Ghee currently serves as the Academic Dean of Carolina Bible College of Fayetteville where he is also a professor teaching a class in Philosophy. He has served in that position since May of 2010. His Christian experiences, many gained at Peace Memorial Christian Disciples of Christ Church, include serving as Sunday School teacher, Bible Study teacher, an officer of the Christian Men’s Fellowship, Deacon, Assistant to the Pastor, as well as other variously assigned duties of his pastor. Dr. Ghee was installed as the Pastor of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Rex, NC in February of 2000. He enjoys his calling and seeing God move in the Spiritual realm.

Dr. Ghee is married to Rae (Batts) Ghee of Scotland Neck, North Carolina and they are the proud parents of two grown young men. They are also proud grandparents of their first grandson.

Purchases Trailer to Support Mission Projects

Southwood Trailer

After a successful BBQ Chicken Luncheon fundraiser, the Christian Men’s Fellowship at Southwood Memorial Christian Church in Kinston, NC recently purchased an enclosed trailer. The trailer will be used in conjunction with the church’s twelve passenger van by the CMF, CYF and CWF when participating in local and regional mission projects. The groups will be able to transport equipment, materials, tools and supplies needed for projects such as building, cleaning, repairing homes and mowing lawns and trimming shrubs and bushes and cleaning debris for the elderly, disabled or those suffering loss from natural disasters.
